I was born in Gulu, a culturally rich and historic city in the Northern region of Uganda. My academic journey led me to earn a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Biomedical and Mechatronics Engineering from Kyambogo University.
My interests center on Data Science, with a passion for model based Machine Learning and it's applicability in Healthcare and Epidemiology. I am also particularly fascinated with certain areas such as Biomedical Signal Processing, Cardiology, telemedicine and digital health. I am focused on leveraging machine learning to develop innovative solutions for healthcare challenges.
Myocardial infarction (MI) is a critical contributor to premature death globally, with delayed diagnosis being a key challenge in Sub-Saharan Africa. This project addresses the gap by designing a low-cost, wearable system powered by machine learning to detect and monitor early signs of MI in real-time, helping to bridge the gap caused by limited infrastructure and clinical specialists.

At National Science Week 2025, my team and I presented our AI-powered myocardial infarction detection system, demonstrating how a portable ECG device connected to a cloud-based AI model could alert healthcare providers to early heart attack risks in real time. This project is dedicated to providing advanced cardiac monitoring in rural and underserved communities.
Recipient of the prestigious HSB Grant Innovate Africa! My journey through the HSB Research Training transformed curiosity into a commitment to impactful research. This grant is a milestone, reminding me that ideas, when nurtured, can grow into solutions that serve communities and shape futures.
